Having independent responsibility of understanding the product requirements & leading the verification activities for the new and / or existing products at Sub system and System level. It includes verification and validation, environmental, performance, reliability and safety/regulatory related tests and executing the same, documenting the reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for test strategy, test planning, test design, test estimation and delivery of new and / or existing products at Sub system and System level.
  • Co-ordinate with design & development team to start the testing early in the design cycle to ensure the requirements testability, design traceability & test coverage. Identify issues early to fix the same. Refine the test plans and procedures through pre-verification activities.
  • Guides the team in investigations for identifying the root cause and drives action to prevent such issues to recur in future.
  • Responsible for defining the test scope by performing detailed impact analysis, based on multiple releases.
  • Develop and manage processes and tools required to support the verification and validation activities. Providing technical support as applicable.
  • Clear understanding and proven experience on basic requirements of unit, integration and system level verification and validation requirements.
  • Ensures good documentation practices are followed in the V&V process.
  • Identify and report any quality or compliance issues during verification & validation activities. 
  • Diagnose, isolate and investigate the problem reports, as applicable.
  • Participate in V&V process continuous improvement.
  • Identifying Test Automation needs and working with Automation architect for Test Automation.
  • Deep knowledge in test automation tools and realizing test automation suite.
  • Co-ordinating and facilitating the team members in completing the testing activity.
  • Proposes and drives solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Participates and/ or leads design reviews.
  • Adheres to Baxter Quality Management system and support audits and external inspections as applicable.
  • Experience in IEC basic safety, EMI-EMC standards.
  • Understands and contributes to resolution of competing constraints among inter-related functions (e.g., engineering, manufacturing, regulatory, marketing) required to deliver products to market.
  • Participates as a member of cross functional teams and/or integrates cross functional inputs to delivery of a project of moderate technical and strategic complexity. May integrate technical development schedules for those products or subsystems, provided as input to the full cross-functional project schedule

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Bio-Medical, Industrial Engineering or related field .

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Bio-Medical, Industrial Engineering or related field
  • 8 to 15 years of experience in Verification and validation testing of Software, hardware and System.
  • Relevant technical testing/reliability experience in electro-mechanical, electrical, or software testing.
  • Understanding of hardware and software product design methodologies and test practices
