Your role:

As the Principal Network Engineer/Architect IT Campus, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of the LAN, wireless, security and Cloud networking infrastructure. This role will involve leading network projects, ensure secure best practices, and driving secure, scalable solutions across both on-prem and cloud environments (AWS and Azure).

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design and configure scalable LAN topologies including vlans, spanning-tree, port-channeling, redundant links.
• Lead and implement network transformation as we plan to move away from Baxter Network Infrastructure.
• Define the wireless network design, access point deployment, RF planning, performance tuning.
• Partners with other IT towers to develop the strategy for the global Infrastructure and Operations function.
• Lead the configuration of FortiGate firewalls in the manufacturing network.
• Automate and orchestrate tasks as well as firewall change, and the work related to Public Cloud networking (AWS, Azure).
• Develop and maintain documentation of network design, firewall policies and Cloud networking architecture.
• Design and maintain cloud networking architectures: VPCs, direct connect, Internet/NAT gateway, Azure VNet, VPN tunnels.
• Working closely with Enterprise Architecture, develop product roadmaps based on customer feedback with the aim of a continuous improvement cycle.
• Technical advisor on networking initiatives and cloud connectivity projects.
• Work closely with external vendors/service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
• Lead root cause analysis and resolution of critical incidents.
• Automate deployment and configurations of switches, WLCs, Fortigate Firewalls, cloud network elements using open-source tools like Python, Ansible and REST APIs.
• Up to 20% of travel expected.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or a master’s degree.
• 10+ years of Enterprise networking (LAN and Wireless) and firewall security.
• Mandatory experience in large-scale WAN/LAN network and cloud technologies.
• Industry/Vendors certification (CCIE, CCDE certification, Cisco Devnet, AWS Architect Solutions, AWS Advanced Networking, Fortinet NS4).
• Familiarity with Campus vendor solutions like Cisco, Juniper, HPE Aruba, Fortinet, Dell, AWS.
• Solid understanding of routing protocols and services: BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, NAT and VPN.
• Previous experience as a network SRE role is a plus
• Experience with IPAM tools: Infoblox, nautobot.
• Experience with network automation platforms & tools: Linux, python, ansible, Grafana.
• Strong experience managing Fortigate firewall policies.
• Strong documentation and architecture diagramming (Markdown, Visio).
• Ability to drive network transformation initiatives.
• Standardize network infrastructure through automation.
• Team leadership, mentoring and cross functional collaboration.
