We are offering two successful candidates a great opportunity to join our Electrical Apprenticeship Programme in our Castlebar and Swinford plants. This is a four year apprenticeship programme run in conjunction with Solas. The apprentice will work with the multiskilled Maintenance and Engineering teams and will also develop their mechanical skills. You will be supported and mentored throughout your apprenticeship and will have the opportunity to develop a career with a Global Pharmaceutical company.
This position is open to Friends and Family of current Vantive Employees.
Essential Skills and Responsibilities
- Adhere to site health & safety at all times
- Ability to work with technical information
- Work with the apprenticeship framework and complete all modules and tasks required
- Attend all training and course requirements including college and off the job training
- Work alongside experienced Engineers in the business and utilise all new skills learned
- Take on projects and tasks allocated to you
- Meet quality standards and best practice in all tasks set
- Work well in a team environment
Qualifications
- Minimum requirements
- Grade D or above in 5 subjects from Junior Cert or above
- OR have completed a Pre-apprenticeship course
- OR have three years of work experience in a relevant industry
- Have a genuine interest and desire for a career in Engineering
- Ideally you will have relevant work experience, personal projects or hobbies in Engineering or Technical based achievements
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions
- Meet the assessment criteria of the external provider (SOLAS)
