Vantive , Castlebar has two opportunities for Sterlisation Process Leads.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the effective and efficient operation of Vantive sterilisation process and will be part of a team accountable for processing all finished goods

  • Adhering to the most effective methods for steriliser truck staging. (Drop off and collection.)

  • Utilising of the most efficient techniques for truck loading and unloading ofSteriliser vessels 

  • Ensuring that the handling of trucks in the Sterilization bay per procedure providesa high level of control over truck movement, minimises truck handling and avoids damage to assets

  • Performing duties that comply with ‘Procedure by which a steriliser is operated and records are documented for a sterilization cycle’.

  • Executing the relevant maintenance inspection checks as per the procedure that describes ‘The maintenance inspection checks and documentation which are made on a steam steriliser’.

  • Complying with the operators guide for the reporting and handling of abnormalities on a steriliser cycle, while controlling the product involved per procedure.

  • Ensuring a suitable real time response to any cycle alarms for which they are responsible.

  • Operating all equipment with due care and attention to retain in, ‘ as new’ working condition. Avoiding damage to equipment, facilities, and product

  • Supporting the effectively utilisation of any new technology or work practices that may be introduced to the area.

  • Maximising steriliser vessel utilisation by coordinating loading & unloading activities based on vessel, product & resource availability.

  • Coordinating resources and activities to ensure that the Packing Plan and MTS requirements are meet for all products.

  • Effectively management the sampling system

  • Effectively reporting (or resolving) any issues that can impact on Equipment reliability or energy utilization

  • Supporting any relevant maintenance activities that reduces equipment downtime e.g. Nozzle replacement.

  • Ensuring that the appropriate actions are taken to keep the area and equipment in clean condition at all times

  • Participating in initiatives to reduce aberrant cycles or product discards

  • May perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3rd level qualification in a related discipline or relevant experience in a similar field

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Good confident and reasonably articulate communicator

  • Willing and able to handle a wide variety and range of work

  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, initiative, drive motivation with a capacity and willingness to learn about new systems and technologies

  • Possess an ability to respond to the tasks as outlined in a timely manner while being thorough, accurate, with all information and data. 

  • Professional, helpful and courteous in the performance of duties 

  • Maintain good working relationships with colleagues

  • Flexible to ensure service levels are maintained in adverse situations
