We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of International Tax Operations to join our Global Tax team based in Dublin, Ireland. This role will be instrumental in managing and overseeing the company’s non-US tax functions, with a particular focus on Irish income tax compliance and reporting, global corporate income tax compliance, indirect tax compliance, and tax accounting.   This role will report to the Vice President, Tax and will be a key interface with non-tax business leaders throughout the global organization regarding the above matters.  Extensive interface with the Company’s financial statement auditors and outside tax and legal consultants.

This position has direct responsibility for Irish and international corporate income tax compliance, indirect tax compliance, U.S.-international tax reporting (including GILTI and Subpart F), and the tax provision process under ASC 740. You will also help shape the global tax strategy through proactive risk management, planning support, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Compliance & Reporting

    •    Oversee the preparation, review, and timely filing of Irish corporate income tax returns and related filings.

    •    Manage non-US income tax compliance across 100+ legal entities, branches, and QBUs, coordinating with local teams and external advisors.

    •    Lead indirect tax compliance (VAT, GST, etc.) across applicable jurisdictions.

    •    Lead the U.S.-international tax reporting process including calculations for GILTI, Subpart F, FDII, Section 986, and Section 861.

    •    Oversee the preparation of U.S. international tax forms (e.g., 5471, 8858, 1118, 8992, 8993).

Tax Accounting (ASC 740)

    •    Manage the quarterly and annual tax provision for international operations in accordance with ASC 740, including return-to-provision adjustments and foreign tax credit analysis.

    •    Collaborate with U.S. tax accounting to ensure accuracy of consolidated financial reporting and compliance with SOX controls.

    •    Analyze the impact of global legislative changes on tax accounting positions.

Governance, Risk & Audit

    •    Serve as primary contact for non-US tax audits, managing correspondence with local tax authorities and resolving disputes.

    •    Support potential future IRS information document requests (IDRs) related to U.S.-international tax matters.

    •    Ensure all filing deadlines are met and maintain a robust compliance calendar for global tax filings.

Strategy, Process & Leadership

    •    Partner with Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure tax alignment with global business activities.

    •    Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process improvement across tax compliance and reporting.

    •    Supervise, coach, and develop a team of tax professionals, setting clear goals and providing technical guidance and support.

    •    Monitor global tax law developments and proactively advise management on implications and required actions.

Qualifications

    •    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Tax required; MST, JD, CPA, CTA, ACA, or ACCA preferred.

    •    10+ years of progressive experience in international tax operations, including:

    •    Irish and European tax compliance and reporting

    •    U.S.-international tax reporting and ASC 740

    •    Global indirect tax management

    •    Big 4 or multinational corporate tax experience strongly preferred.

    •    Strong command of tax technology tools and Microsoft Excel; OneSource experience preferred.

    •    Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex tax issues to non-tax audiences.

    •    Proven ability to lead cross-border teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
