Your Role

 The ERP Functional Finance Leadis responsible forthe modules within the JD Edwards ERP system that manages and automates financial processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the general ledger.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ERP systems, particularly JD Edwards, and will be responsible for driving system enhancements, troubleshooting, and providing functional support for optimalfinancial management. The Functional Finance Lead will also collaborate closely with third-party support and delivery teams to ensure effective and efficient solutions are implemented to streamline financial operations.

Vantive is a recent divestiture of a larger companyThe ERP Functional Finance Lead willberesponsible for gathering, documenting, understanding, and in some cases, reverse-engineering the previous owner’s systems and processes.The candidate will play a key role in cloning the current applications to stand up a new technology landscape which allows Vantive to operate separately from the previous owner’s systems and exit from the Transition Services Agreements (TSA).This is an exciting opportunity to joina newly formed company and make a difference in the healthcare industry.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Working with the Business Relationship Manager (BRM) and technology teams to ensure business needs are clearly understood and JD Edwards Finance solutions implemented meets the needs and expectations of the business. 

  • Fulfilling the JD Edwards Finance SME role, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Job Costing, and Cost Accounting.

  • Ensure that the Vantive's Finance processes meet all necessary compliance and regulatory requirements. Understand and monitor the regulatory and security requirements for JD Edwards Finance; ensuring compliance and proper protection occurs. 

  • Actively participate in our Cone IT and Own IT program to ensure the cloned applications are working as expected.

  • Help lead the team through the entire life cycle of the relevant JD Edwards Finance tasks.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Technology, Finance, Supply chain, Commercial, HR, etc) to ensure smooth integration of the Finance processes within JD Edwards. 

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into functional specifications and system solutions. 

  • Partner with third-party support and delivery teams to manage and resolve any issues related to JD Edwards applications, ensuring timely and effective delivery of system enhancements and support. 

  • Configure and support JD Finance modules such as, chart of accounts, P&L account mapping and cost center hierarchy, own DMAII and other GL mappings and transactions, setup new legal entities

  • Develop reports, dashboards, and analytical tools to monitor key performance indicators related to Finance operations, including month-end close (MEC), automated reconciliations, reporting accuracy, tax compliance, cash flow analysis, and profit in inventory. 

  • Identify areas for process improvement, optimize current workflows, and recommend best practices to streamline financial operations. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration errors with other business systems. 

  • Provide end-user training, documentation, and ongoing support to ensure effective system adoption. 

  • Manage system upgrades and enhancements related to the Finance functions in JD Edwards. 

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements. 

  • Play a critical role in continuous improvement initiatives by utilizing cloned applications to develop more efficient, scalable, and adaptable solutions. 

  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure that project goals and timelines are met while maintaining high-quality standards. 

What You’ll Bring

  • At least 5 years of experience working with JD Edwards ERP, specifically in Finance and related modules. 

  • Strong understanding of Finance processes and best practices, with hands-on experience in system configuration and support. 

  • Accounting knowledge to bridge discussions between IT and Finance

  • Proven ability to design, configure, and troubleshoot JD Edwards systems and integrations 

  • Experience with JDEdwards 9.2 or later versions is highly preferred. 

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies. 

  • Experience in working with third-party support and delivery teams to drive solutions and ensure timely project delivery. 

  • Project management experience is a plus, especially in leading ERP implementations or upgrades. 

  • Experience in cloning and owning applications is a plus, especially in the context of improving operational efficiency. 

  • Knowledge of supply chain processes, intercompany and multi-currency setup is highly desirable. 

  • Ability to work with multiple geographies in a multicultural environment.

  • Ability and maturity to manage senior level stakeholders globally.

  • Experience in working in regulated environments (i.e. privacy/compliance)

  • Design thinking awareness and prior usage strongly preferred.
