Your role at Vantive.

Experienced and highly skilled Senior IT Asset Specialist responsible for managing functions within the IT Vendor Management Office, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing vendor performance and relationship management.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and implement IT asset lifecycle management strategies and processes.
  • Analyze asset usage and performance to identify opportunities for optimization and cost saving, partnering with system owners to implement.
  • Manage asset management improvement opportunities.
  • Track and analyze the company's IT assets to ensure they're used efficiently and are compliant with software licenses.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure IT assets are accurately inventoried.
  • Work closely with the IT department to understand technology needs and assets.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of IT assets. When necessary, partnering with corporate procurement based on buying policy.
  • Manage the disposal and replacement of obsolete or redundant IT assets.
  • Provide regular reports on asset performance, cost, and lifecycle status.
  • Provide asset and license management at a minimum for Mobility, Print, Software, Servers, and PCs and/or governance of assets.
  • Manage vendor audits.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices in IT asset management.
  • Maintain Reports, dashboards for visibility into IT Vendor Performance & Compliance
  • Facilitate the development and implement asset management policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, business, or related field. Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related is desirable
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT asset management or related role
  • Fluent english communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of IT hardware, software, and licenses
  • Strong knowledge of vendor management and contract negotiation principles
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with IT asset management tools and software
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT asset management best practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong technical skills, with the ability to understand and work with various IT systems and tools.
  • Experience with IT vendor management tools and technologies, such as IT vendor management software, inventory management systems, and license management systems.
  • ITIL including CMDB or other relevant certifications.
