Your Role at Vantive:
Provide strategic and technical leadership in managing the complete lifecycle of tenders and commercial contracts across the Latin America South (LAS) region, ensuring regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, efficient governance, and maximized commercial outcomes. Lead and develop the regional team of Tenders & Contracts Analysts (Brazil, Chile, and Colombia), ensuring excellence in execution, process consistency, and alignment with Commercial Excellence objectives, with special attention to pricing, margin, and financial sustainability of proposals.
What you'll be doing:
Strategy & Governance
Lead the transformation and optimization of tenders and contracts, promoting strategic and systematic review across the LAS region.
Act as the technical and strategic point of contact for contractual and bidding matters, collaborating with Commercial, Legal, Regulatory, Market Access, Supply, Customer Service, and other key departments.
Develop and implement bidding response strategies (win strategy), considering risks, profitability, regulations, and competitive differentiators.
Analyze and support strategic pricing decisions for tender proposals and contracts in alignment with Finance and Commercial teams, ensuring competitive and financially sustainable outcomes.
Provide margin, cost, feasibility, and profitability analyses for public and private sector commercial opportunities, in partnership with Finance and Commercial stakeholders.
Operational Management of Tenders & Contracts
Manage the full cycle of public and private tender processes, from bid analysis through to submission and contract signing.
Ensure activation and operationalization of signed contracts, meeting deadlines, terms, and deliverables.
Oversee the use of contract management systems (CLM, SharePoint, internal workflows), ensuring traceability, documentation governance, and regular updates.
Team Management
Lead and develop the team of tender and contract analysts in the three cluster countries (Brazil, Chile, Colombia), fostering continuous development, standardized processes, and technical and behavioral growth.
Establish follow-up routines and ensure all team members are clear on priorities, deliverables, and quality standards.
Monitoring, Risk & Compliance
Proactively monitor and mitigate risks related to deadlines, contractual clauses, legal compliance, deliverables, and internal governance.
Escalate deviations or critical issues, focusing on preventing legal sanctions, financial loss, or operational disruptions.
Oversee external legal partners or third parties involved in specific processes, when necessary.
Stakeholder Management & Engagement
Act as the primary contact for institutional public and private clients, providing contractual clarifications, aligning expectations, and leading renegotiations as needed.
Train internal stakeholders—especially Commercial and Operations teams—on contract management, bidding requirements, and legal risk, serving as the technical reference on the topic across LAS.
Promote continuous process improvement based on results analysis, lessons learned, KPIs, and best practices.
Performance & KPIs
Manage the area’s KPIs: opportunity funnel, win rate, contract margin, proposal profitability, response time, active contract balance, and compliance metrics.
Prepare periodic reports for LAS regional and global leadership visibility.
What you'll bring:
Technical Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in law, Business, or related fields. (mandatory)
Postgraduate education in Contracts, Public Management, Compliance, or Business is a plus.
4+ years of experience in tenders and managing commercial contracts
Desirable experience with commercial proposals structuring considering pricing models.
Prior experience in managing cross functional teams to achieve business objectives
Experience with healthcare institutions (hospitals, distributors, clinics, public agencies) is a strong asset.
Knowledge of public and private tender processes (e.g., Law 14.133/2021 – Brazil, ChileCompra – Chile, SECOP – Colombia, contracts with governments and large health networks).
Familiarity with Contract Lifecyle Management (CLM) systems, ERPs, and document management tools (Excel, SharePoint, Salesforce, etc.).
Experience working in regulated environments (preferably healthcare), with focus on institutional negotiation and technical governance.
Languages
Fluent or advanced Spanish and Portuguese (mandatory)
Intermediate to advanced English (preferred for global stakeholder communication)
