The Director of Corporate Accounts will play a critical role in driving business success through the strategic management of key accounts, development of efficient commercial operations, and advancement of therapy initiatives. This position demands strategic vision, cross-functional collaboration, and a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare ecosystem and therapeutic areas.
Key Responsibilities
1. Key Account Management
- Lead key account initiatives in strategic hospitals, ensuring successful access for pharmaceutical products, medical devices, and consumables.
- Drive product inclusion in hospital formularies and procurement processes.
- Manage hospital-level implementation of volume-based procurement (VBP) initiatives and healthcare cost containment measures.
- Cultivate and maintain long-term strategic relationships with hospitals to align with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with sales teams to support promotional activities within hospital accounts.
- Assist business teams in optimizing commercial channels and maintaining robust supply chains.
- Work closely with government affairs and market access teams to facilitate the implementation of healthcare policies in hospitals.
2. Commercial Operation & Management
- Develop and manage a scalable and efficient distribution system tailored to meet business growth needs.
- Optimize distributor networks to ensure operational efficiency and market reach.
- Support the promotion of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and consumables with effective commercial strategies.
- Ensure consistent product availability and accessibility for healthcare institutions and patients.
- Drive the transformation of commercial models to adapt to changing market dynamics and identify growth opportunities.
3. Therapy Development
- Design and execute therapy development initiatives within designated regions to drive the adoption and practical implementation of therapies.
- Advocate for evidence-based and appropriate therapeutic practices among key healthcare stakeholders.
- Partner with central marketing, medical, and market access teams to align local initiatives with broader corporate strategies.
- Collaborate with sales teams to engage stakeholders and advance therapy-related objectives.
Skills and Qualifications
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or life sciences is required; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 15+ years of relevant experience in key account management, commercial operations, or therapy development in the pharmaceutical or medical device industries.
- Demonstrated success in managing large hospital accounts and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Strong expertise in healthcare policy implementation, hospital procurement processes, and distribution network management.
- Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and driving business growth initiatives.
- Senior sales experience is essential.
