Manufacturing Supervisor (8 hour shift)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:    

1.    Meet production schedule and cost targets:
a)    Supervise the entire manufacturing staff on a shift to meet schedule and cost targets.
b)    Optimize daily production capacity and manpower deployment to maximize labour efficiency.
c)    Ensure accurate reporting of production and material usage and proper communication among shifts.
d)    Take contingency actions as necessary and co-ordinate all activities affecting production schedule of all product lines with other departments.
e)    Plan overtime support and indirect materials to support daily production.
f)    Support and implement lean initiatives and 6S to reduce waste and improve productivity and safety performance.
g)    Co-ordinate activities with Engineering to improve process yield and reduce total conversion loss.
h)    Ensure accuracy, accountability and proper transaction control for all production inventory.
i)    Plan shop floor staffing requirements and ensure efficient compliance to production schedules.

2.    Comply with all Quality/ Regulatory requirements, Company policies and procedures:
a)    Supervise a team of manufacturing staff from multiple product lines to ensure:
I.    Compliance with specifications, SOP, MIs, TPs and GMP/GDP
II.    Good Housekeeping at all times
b)    Take actions immediately on any non-conformance.
c)    Conduct failure investigation on suspected workmanship related issues. Work with Engineering to resolve the issues. 
d)    Review and approve production records (manual or electronic in applicable system) for its correctness and completeness.
e)    Conduct training for different test procedures and manufacturing Instructions and Department orientation for staff.
f)    Assist in regulatory audits by providing information on product, processes and records.

3.    Employee Relations:
a)    Carry out employee communication and handle employee issues and grievances.
b)    Asses/ review/ communicate/ motivate/ drive/ facilitate staff performance, teamwork, SGA teams.
c)    Manage leave schedule for shop floor and ensure no impact to production.

4.    Responsible for compliance to EHS procedure and requirement.

Qualifications/ Education:    

•    Diploma/ Degree in Engineering or equivalent

Skill Set and/or Experience:     

•    Fresh Degree/ Diploma with Min 3 years supervisory experience in related manufacturing environment 
•    Communication Skills, interpersonal Skills, problem solving skills
•    Knowledge on assembly and testing of electromechanical devices
•    Some knowledge & experience in manufacturing system, inventory management, Lean and 6S
•    Ability to lead, train, communicate and motivate the workforce
•    Understand and deploy company’s policies, GMP, GDP and other regulatory requirements
