Summary

  • Establish medical affairs as a strategic partner to business by developing PD, HD and Acute’s strategic goals and executing plans in active partnership with Local, Regional and Global WWM & Marketing to support the yearly and long-term plans of business.
  • This position requires maturity in advanced Medical Affairs capabilities and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • This position focuses on the Local Taiwan business while also providing support for expanded market and Regional/ Cluster projects.
  • This role is responsible for independently developing and executing strategic medical plans, providing advanced internal training on the full Vantive portfolio, delivering impactful external engagement and meaningful scientific exchange, generating clinical evidence, optimizing KOL management and speaker development, managing the medical budget, supporting all relevant marketing and cross-functional activities for the Vantive business, and demonstrating a strong understanding and execution of Ethics & Compliance.

Act as a Medical Manager with expertise in vital organ therapies (e.g., peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy, organ-supporting therapies). Independently develop and execute the pre-launched, launching and post-launched medical plans and activities. Develop evidence-based medical content for new therapies and business-driving products. Provide advanced internal training to Commercial and Cross-functional teams, as well as new hires. Deliver meaningful external engagement and presentation (e.g., healthcare professional’s education through field interactions, lectures in CMEs or symposia, and one-on-one or group scientific exchanges). Plan, execute, and lead expert-attending national or Regional advisory board or consensus meetings. Capable of utilizing the established methodologies to generate high-standard statements. Respond to medical queries and ensure clinical accuracy in all engagements and exchanges. Adopt patient-centric approach and maximize patient benefit by educating the appropriate and safe use of our Renal products and therapies. Develop, nurture and engage speakers and KOLs in scientific activities that differentiate Vantive as a scientifically driven healthcare organization. Identify and disseminate national best clinical practices to raise the bar of standard of care. Develop CoE (center of excellence). Develop impactful clinical educational initiatives in close collaboration with leading hospitals and national societies. As SME (subject matter expert) providing product / therapy expertise to internal staff and external customer Lead data generation initiatives (e.g., IIR, real-world data, HEOR studies) and manage publication plans to fill the research gaps and support reimbursement and policy shaping. Support Clinical Operations for conducting clinical research ethically, efficiently and effectively in order to generate validated data (as needed basis). Collaborate with other markets across Cluster / Region to achieve educational objectives. Effectively interface with Therapeutic Area teams to ensure optimal implementation of Regional & Global initiatives. Develop and implement projects in line with Marketing strategies to maximize commercial opportunities. Optimize the support for Market Access and Cross-Functional teams (e.g., RA, MI, PV, QA, Clinical) to achieve aligned goals. Review grants and promotional materials to ensure they meet the normative and scientific standards of accuracy and integrity. Serve as an internal reviewer for events. Gate-keep and execute the highest standards of Ethics & Compliance. Act with integrity to comply with both local and international regulations, standard operating procedures, processes and corporate governance. Demonstrate mature skills in communication across multiple teams and markets and in operational excellence at all aspects of execution. Build and maintain sufficiency in advanced disease, product & therapy knowledge. Represent, build & enhance the scientific image of Vantive (internal & external).

Qualifications.

List of knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:

Energetic, positive, proactive, action-generative, output-orientated and capable of working independently. Be mature in communication. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, high personal sensitivity to manage the diversity and complexity of multiple teams’ and countries’ networks. Sharp acumen in prioritizing the various requests and the needs of the multiple teams or markets. Advanced command of written and spoken English. Meet the requirement of domestic and international travel.

Education and/orExperience.Include the education and/or experience that is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily.

MBBS, MD or PhD. 7~10 years of medical affairs in a reputed pharmaceutical/ medical device company. Experience in nephrology or intensive care (preferred). Previous collaborative experience in consensus-generating, policy-shaping and reimbursement projects. Team spirit
