Responsibilities
- Responsible for the execution of the global compensation & benefits strategy in the EMEA region by designing regional/local solutions adapted to the business needs and local legal requirements, and consistent with our strategy.
- Develop local benefits policies. Adequate understanding on general benefit programs is expected in order to support countries in design, development and implementation of benefits and ensure competitiveness through the on-going assessment of benefit programs.
- Work with the EMEA countries to implement consistent job evaluation framework – should have good knowledge of evaluation frameworks of key consulting organizations – Mercer, Hewitt, Towers and/or Hay.
- Understand existing compensation plans, programs, policies and procedures (base and variable, short and long term) and partner with global and local teams to streamline and standardize the administration of these through effective processes and tools.
- Develop and support compensation and benefits recommendations for mobility cases.
- Responsible for partnering with HR Operations to ensure the end-to-end execution and delivery of compensation & benefits processes in this geography.
- Focus on providing specific support to the EMEA region and technical expertise around market benchmarking and benefits to other team members in the Compensation CoE team.
- Work with Global Compensation, Incentive Benefits and Mobility teams; and HR leadership to identify issues/opportunities, provide end-to-end solutions, recommend alternatives, implement solutions, etc.
- Network with industry specialists outside the Company in order to keep the pulse on current and future trends in the industry and in the region.
Required qualifications
- Minimum 6-8 years of total work experience and at least 4 years specialist experience in Compensation & Benefits area supporting multiple geographies.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, mainly Excel (dynamic tables).
- Experience in administering and implementing HR systems (WorkDay),
- Compensation systems (PayFactors) and Benefits databases (MercerGold or equivalent).
- University degree required.
- Fluency in English and another European language.
- Available to travel 25% of the time.
- Business acumen – Understands key business drivers and risks and how employee compensation and benefits should be aligned to support business objectives and contribute to bottom line results.
- Customer Service – Proactively seeks customer input and requirements and acts on appropriately.
- Communication – Organizes and presents detailed and complex information clearly, succinctly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Teamwork – Delivers project results through broad team contributions. Provides strong people management inter-personal skills and motivation skills. Establishes effective relationships with Compensation/Benefits/HR Operations Team, Business HR, and other Business partners to ensure global compensation and benefit programs meet needs of the business.
- Leadership skills – Provides strong people management, project management, and change management, facilitative and consulting skills.
- Dealing with ambiguity – Handles risk and uncertainty to effectively drive completion of initiatives and change.
- Technology acumen – Understands potential of technology solutions and implications for driving cost optimization and process standardization.
- Technical acumen – Delivers broad and detailed knowledge of compensation and benefit plan design and practices.
- Cultural skills – Understands business issues and cultural differences and applies that knowledge to compensation and benefit program design and processes.
