Summary
The Network Planner is responsible for balancing and optimizing third party supply planning to meet demand. The Network Planner provides input to define and implement third party supply planning process, determining priorities, including DRP, MPS, supporting process improvements, and supply reviews.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the procurement planning, purchasing, inventory management of a portfolio of third party products.
• Formulate & communicate short to mid-term tactical plans that balance supply & demand
• Manage purchase orders and invoice approvals.
• Collaborate with other Planners and Managers, Demand planners, Cluster fulfilment, Commercial & Shipping teams.
• Proactively report supply chain risks e.g. low cover and escalate issues where appropriate to Commercial teams.
• Monitor supply chain performance, review & support planning parameters and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Be accountable for achieving inventory targets
• Support input to financial planning and forecasting processes
• Supports Life-cycle Management e.g. New Product Launch, Phase in /Phase out etc.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
• Strong experience with inventory and planning
• Experience communicating with third party vendors
• Experience using Rapid Response or similar APS systems
• Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders in multiple locations
• Experience working with global suppliers is a plus
• Motivated and can do attitude
• Demonstrates strategic thinking
• Excellent computer skills, particularly Excel, reading and creating reports and conducting analysis for business decisions
• In-depth understanding of all aspects of end to end supply chain and how we interact with other functions
• Capable of analysing and solving problems through innovative thought
• Drives results with urgency and accountability, possessing solid financial and business acumen
