Position: Area Sales Manager - Peritoneal Dialysis

Work Office: Vantive Healthcare Bangkok Office

Responsible Area: Northern & BKK Area

Reporting Manager: Country Head of Thailand

Product: Peritoneal Dialysis

Job Scope: Area Sales Manager (ASM) directly reports to the Country Head of Thailand; The Area Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of 8 sales representatives nationwide to achieve and exceed sales targets within a designated territory or region. This role involves developing and implementing strategic sales plans, building strong relationships with key healthcare professionals (HCPs), and ensuring the effective execution of marketing and promotional strategies. The ASM will also be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing their team to maximize their potential and contribute to the overall success of the company.

Job Descriptions:

Sales Leadership & Management:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets within the assigned territory/region.

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of pharmaceutical sales representatives, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.

  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

  • Conduct regular field visits to assess sales representative performance and provide on-the-job coaching.

  • Set clear sales objectives and ensure alignment with company goals.

  • Manage sales budgets and resources effectively.

  • Forecast sales and provide accurate reports to senior management.

  • Recruit, train, and onboard new sales representatives.

Customer Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key HCPs, including physicians, pharmacists, and hospital administrators.

  • Identify and develop relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) within the therapeutic area.

  • Organize and conduct product presentations and educational programs for HCPs.

  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

  • Attend and represent the company at Society conferences and Stand-alone events.

  • Analyze customer needs and market trends to identify new business opportunities.

Marketing & Promotional Activities:

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and implement effective marketing and promotional strategies.

  • Ensure sales representatives are well-equipped with the necessary marketing materials and product knowledge.

  • Monitor and analyze competitor activities and market dynamic.

  • Provide feedback to marketing teams on the effectiveness of promotional campaigns.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical guidelines.

Compliance & Reporting:

  • Ensure all sales activities are conducted in compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical guidelines.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records and reports.

  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to senior management.

  • Adhere to all company SOPs and compliance regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Life Science, Pharmacy, Nursing Science, etc.)

  • At least 10 years of experience in Sales positions for Healthcare Business.

  • At least 3 years of experience in Sales Managerial Level with strong people management skills.

  • Good understanding of sales and marketing plus knowledge of active portfolio management.

  • Strong understanding of the customer, market dynamics, and requirements.

  • Available to work in the upcountry.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Energetic and able to work independently.

  • Good communication, positive attitude, strong interpersonal, negotiation, selling, and presentation skills.

  • Good command of written and spoken English.

  • Own transportation and driver's license.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and relevant therapeutic areas.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to analyze sales data and develop strategic sales plans.
