ob Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced JDE DevOps Engineer to oversee the development framework, methodologies, and environment setup for Oracle JD Edwards solutions. While the development itself will be handled by external partners, the JDE DevOps Engineer will be responsible for ensuring technical quality, performing code reviews, and maintaining the integrity of existing custom modifications. This role operates within a global, highly customized JDE environment with numerous individualized solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and implement methodologies, frameworks, and best practices for JDE development according to GxP rules
Oversee and maintain the development environment for external partners.
Manage development artifacts using PackMan and JDE Object Management Workbench (OMW)
Defining and managing development process
Managing development flow and object promotion
Maintain multiple JDE releases levels
Conduct technical reviews of delivered code to ensure quality, performance, and compliance with best practices
Provide technical oversight and ensure the stability of already implemented JDE modifications
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support ongoing customizations and troubleshoot issues
Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of JDE custom solutions
Support deployment and release management processes
Execute special instructions like table/index generation, backup, generate & restore tables
Work within a global team and ensure alignment with corporate IT strategies
Required Qualifications:
Strong (10+ years) experience in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne development and administration.
Proven track record of conducting a minimum of three development projects in a JDE environment, preferably in the medical industry.
Experience in computerized system validated/regulated environments with GxP compliance.
Experience in upgrading in highly customized environments (PAR files adjustment)
Experience in automating JDE development and deployment processes.
Hands-on expertise in JDE Object Management Workbench (OMW) and Pack Man.
Hands-on experience in Oracle Tools Release and Application Release upgrade.
32 to 64 bits conversion experience
Solid understanding of DevOps methodologies, software development lifecycle, and best practices.
Have a strong understanding and working experience with Agile approach and culture.
Proven experience in code and performance reviews, technical quality assurance,
Familiarity with JDE customizations and their impact on global business processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a complex, highly customized JDE environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with external partners and internal teams.
Experience with ARCtool solution.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of JDE architecture and performance optimization techniques.
Experience working in multi-national, large-scale JDE environments.
Familiarity with ITIL methodologies and incident/change management processes.
