Job Summary
Vantive is seeking a Technical & Functional professional with substantial experience in R&D application implementations, and proficiency in key engineering and analysis tools including Altium, Matlab, Acronis, MiniTab, and other applications as assigned.
You will support digital transformation initiatives and act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for designated information technology systems, covering hardware, software, databases, and applications.
This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, hands-on implementation experience, and business process understanding to configure, integrate, and optimize these systems within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
System Implementation
Lead end-to-end implementation of Altium, Matlab, Acronis, MiniTab, and other R&D apps by collaborating with SI partners and vendors.
Develop and support integrations/APIs, middleware solutions, and automation workflows involving relevant applications.
Perform system configuration, customization, and validations for laboratory and engineering tools.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), templates, and user access controls for compliance and efficiency.
Conduct user training sessions, workshops, and documentation development to drive adoption of the mentioned platforms.
System & Incident Management
Monitor system performance metrics for applications by identifying improvement opportunities to enhance reliability and efficiency.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with system operations, data integrity, and cyber security threats.
Alert and escalate technical issues or concerns to functional leads, architects, and/or program leads.
Communicate with incident commanders and service desk in accordance with SLA’s.
Implement disaster recovery plans, backups, and system monitoring, especially using Acronis solutions.
Continuous Improvement
Collaborate with BRM/MRM, EA, business owners, other IT functions, and/or with third-party system owners to translate business requirements into technical designs for global scalability.
Implement system upgrades and enhancements on designated applications to improve performance, functionality, and security.
Ensure all platforms are secure and up to date (patching, versioning, certificates, etc.), and compliant with authentication policies.
Oversee software licensing processes by working closely with both vendors and end users to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Compliance & Validation Support
Ensure application deployments—including Altium, Matlab, Acronis, and MiniTab—meet GxP and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 standards.
Assist in computer system validation (CSV) activities, including IQ/OQ/PQ documentation and audit readiness.
Develop and maintain system risk assessments, validation scripts, and traceability matrices for the relevant platforms.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of experience in Information Systems with exposure to multiple IT domains.
3–5 years’ of professional experience working within a regulated environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in managing Altium Designer, Matlab, Acronis backup/recovery, and MiniTab statistical analysis.
Understanding of regulatory and compliance processes in industries such as life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or manufacturing.
Additional Skills:
Basic project management experience (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to tackle complex system issues.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
