ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Global Lead of the Facility category. Has in-depth technical knowledge of the category responsible for, as well as stakeholder and supplier management for Indirect Procurement. Responsibilities include proactively structuring and leading cost reduction projects globally, leveraging regional team members, designing and proposing supplier development strategies, negotiations and contracting, making and executing decisions to ensure quality products and services on time according to Vantive's business needs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Collaborate with internal partners and use these relationships to lead category strategies, pipeline items and short/medium/long-term goals to support the ongoing delivery of product pipeline.
· Lead the different regional teams on strategy development and deployment.
· Lead the supplier selection, harmonization and consolidation efforts. Risk assessment and contract negotiation process for key projects.
· Ensure that appropriate Supplier Relationship Management programs are in place for strategic and critical suppliers in the concerned categories of spend.
· Provide regular progress updates to Senior Leadership and to key internal partners.
· Lead negotiations across critical supply agreements using strong value-based techniques.
· Monitor, track and report on savings and incremental value of sourcing activities
· Stimulate and support innovation by using the supplier base, regularly reviewing market developments, and mobilizing the appropriate internal network.
· Be an inspiring leader within the organization on key solutions in the marketplace consistently ensuring that Vantive has line of sight to current trends in cost management.
1. Essential skills, knowledge, and experience
· Experience in managing global procurement initiatives, including cross-cultural communication, Request for Propsal (RFP), and strategy
· Experience in cross regional people management
· Contract Negotiation and Management: Extensive experience in negotiating and managing complex supply agreements
· Hands-on experience in managing procurement operations, including vendor management (Quaterly Business Review) ; contract administration, and performance evaluation.
2. Communication requirements
Lead Negotiations: Lead negotiations and coach the category team across critical supply agreements using strong value-based techniques. This includes:
· Value-Based Negotiation: Ability to identify and leverage value drivers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
· Stakeholder Management: Effective communication with internal stakeholders (e.g., engineering, quality, finance) and external suppliers to align expectations and achieve mutual benefits.
· Conflict Resolution: Skills in resolving conflicts and disagreements to maintain positive supplier relationships.
3. Innovation / problem-solving
Process Improvement: The role requires a focus on improving existing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks. This includes:
· Continuous Improvement: Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to streamline procurement processes and enhance supplier performance.
· Data-Driven Decision: Using data analytics to identify areas for improvement and make informed decisions.
· Innovative Solutions: Developing and implementing innovative solutions to address complex procurement challenges, such as supply chain disruptions or regulatory changes.
4. Knowledge requirements
· Practical and Applied Knowledge: Hands-on experience in procurement operations (RFI, RFQ, RFP, QBR, contract management)
· Theoretical and Analytical Knowledge: Understanding of supply chain management principles, data analysis techniques, and strategic procurement strategies specific to Facility Management.
· Specialized Domain Expertise: Nice to have prior experience in Facility management commodity, including knowledge industry trends, and best practices specific to medical gases.

6. Education
Master degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering or related areas required.
7. Language skills
· Fluent English
· German or French (desirable).
