Summary
The Project Engineer position is an excellent opportunity to join our OpEx and Manufacturing Engineering team and play a key role in achieving the company’s goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic project portfolio of OpEx and Manufacturing engineering department to drive technological innovation in the production areas, optimize existing plants and systems, enhance equipment capacity, and reduce cost.
- Support the Manufacturing Engineering team in evaluating the feasibility of new investments and initiatives, in line with the Site Strategic Improvement Plan (SSIP).
- Ensure effective communication with stakeholders, organizing and leading project reviews, and keeping project deadlines, costs, and scope under control using proper tools (WBS, Gantt, S-curves ,etc.).
- Coordinate with suppliers on design and field activities, assessing offers both technically and financially to enable the Procurement team to proceed with commercial negotiations.
- Collaborate with the HSE and QA departments to ensure that project deliverables fully comply with Safety and Quality standards.
- Supervise the installation and qualification activities of new technologies (robotized lines, injection moldings, inline quality checks, testing instruments, digital solutions, etc.)
- Cooperate with the manufacturing, maintenance and quality teams to support the continuous improvement in the production areas (waste reduction, service level).
- Contribute to the deployment on site of the Company Operational Excellence system.
- Collaborate with the Global OpEx and Engineering Network to implement global best practices as well as actively share site knowledge and lesson learned with respect to the successful implementations.
Education
- Master's degree in Engineering or a related scientific discipline
- PM certification and/or Lean Six Sigma green belt is highly appreciated.
Skills
- Good knowledge of English.
- Knowledge of MC Office and Project.
- Result oriented person with excellent planning and organizational abilities.
- Flexibility, proactivity, predisposition for interpersonal relationships and problem solving.
- Good communication skills with attitude to work cross-functionally
- Attention to detail and respect for deadlines complete the profile.
Experience
- 1-2 years of experience as project or process engineer, preferably within a relevant industrial production environmental.
- Project delivery experience with budget management involving production and utilities systems is preferred.
