Your Role:

In this role, you will be based in our Technical Service Depot in Mississauga, where you will be responsible for managing standard warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, order picking and staging, putaway, and replenishment. You will also be responsible for performing system updates and executing decontamination and facility maintenance activities to support our service operation. Given the sensitive nature of medical equipment, attention to detail and adherence to process and handling requirements are crucial. We are currently in a phase of growth and expansion, and we are seeking team members who can help us achieve operational excellence and contribute to making Vantive a top employer in Canada.

Work Set up: This is an on-site position, requiring 5 days a week of in-person work.

What you'll be doing:

a. Warehouse Activities

  • Receive, reconcile, and put away inbound shipments

    • Physical receiving of devices from courier

    • Physical receiving and inspection of packages from courier

  • Execute receiving and inspection for spare parts and devices per local SOPs

  • Provide Return Waybills to customers for devices that requires repair and for returning spare parts

  • Pick, Pack, and ship finish goods and spare part orders

  • Shipping of finish goods to Customers, Vantive DC’s (Apple Express) and international cross docking.

    • Create waybill for shipping

    • Create Proforma Invoice for international shipments

    • Generate Packing slip

  • Responsible for accurately performing all inventory transactions on our JDE system

    • Perform JDE Ship confirmation for orders after shipping

    • Perform JDE Transaction for device transfer within CTS BP’s and locations

    • Close Service Records prior to device shipment

  • Escalate any receiving and shipping issues to management

  • Replenish inventory in the service centre

  • Perform regular, accurate Cycle Counting and assist in resolution of inventory issues

  • Prepare of packaging materials to support service and customer order activities

  • Perform verification of outbound shipments when needed

  • Request for SR and RMA initiation for verified PD equipment for repair

  • Triage for holds and complaints for all devices for service

  • Escalation of issues or discrepancies regarding SR and RMA’s to appropriate parties

  • Movement and distribution of materials, devices, parts, and accessories throughout the facility

  • Staging and disposal of waste materials

  • Use the forklift and other equipment safely and as appropriate in the course of performing these duties

  • Assist with mailing duties

b. Decontamination / Sanitization Activities

  • Perform cleaning of devices and accessories per applicable standard operating procedures

  • Daily preparation of sanitization supplies and prep / maintenance of the decontamination area

  • Perform Serial number and product code verification

  • Properly stage devices following FIFO

  • Receive and manage fluid discard process on the sit

c. Facility Support and Maintenance

  • Maintain working areas consistent with 6s principles

  • Perform “light” facility maintenance such as install / modify / remove racking, area taping, area signage as required

d. Business Excellence

  • Adheres to the Environmental Health & Safety requirements in all areas of the facility

  • Understand and follow all applicable facility Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Proactively drive Enterprise Management Systems (EMS) objectives and improvement initiatives

  • Act as a backup for other members of your team.   This includes rotation of roles to ensure back up effectiveness.  (E.g. Decontamination rotation will involve spending 70% to 100% of your time in Decontamination during your rotation to this roll).

  • Work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor and Canadian Technical Services Operations and Quality Managers to implement change successfully and drive achievement of local and corporate goals

  • Maintain a positive, effective working relationship with suppliers (carriers, couriers, pest control, facility maintenance, etc), other team members, Baxter staff and customers

  • Bring a innovative mindset of continuous improvement to your role every day

  • Proactively engage and help the business achieve it’s goals

What you'll bring:

  • High School Diploma

  • 0-1 Years of warehouse management experience

  • Ability to lift upto 35lbs on a routine basis

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to closely follow direction/procedures

  • Good communication skills (written and oral)

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience working in a Quality regulated technical services environment

  • Experience or certification operating a forklift

  • Experience with JDE or similar inventory systems
