Vantive is seeking a business unit leader in the areas of Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHS&S). The ideal candidate will lead the deployment of strategy, policies, plans, and procedures for the America’s EHS&S Region. Ensure that all facilities are following applicable Federal, State and local laws and fulfillment of all Vantive EHS&S objectives. Lead teams of EHSS professionals to ensure the attainment of the company's EHSS goals.
This role will be based at our site in Mountain Home, Arkansas and will require regional travel (US, Canada, and LATAM) of up to 25-30%
Responsibilities:
- Provide overall directions and support for region-wide environmental, safety and health programs through the establishment of sound policies.
- Ensure that EHSS policies and processes comply with regulations and company standards
- Track and assess the impact of EHSS laws, regulations and trends and assure that regional plans are developed and executed to assure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws.
- Provide information and directions to senior management in identifying problems and components of potential threat to our business or which may result in legal action against our organization or its officers.
- Provides significant contribution to the creation and deployment of the EHSS strategy; prioritizes and manages resources to achieve strategy objectives
- Actively seeks out and introduces new approaches to significantly improve existing methods / techniques
- Develop and implement tactical plans and initiatives to support key business objectives
- Evaluate and construct solutions to variable situations having a broad impact. Lead professionals and/or project teams to implement, manage, and/or ensure compliance for Environmental, Health, Safety, Sustainability and/or Industrial Hygiene compliance programs and Vantive policies.
- Establish a communication channel for information gathering, evaluating and responding to events or conditions which are not consistent with our operations.
- Maintain EHSS shared folders and EHSS website.
- Develop and maintain training materials to support efficient use of EHSS management systems and performance.
- Increase both its effectiveness and capabilities of EHSS Software systems users to become proficient in EHSS data management and usage.
- Coach, motivate, develop, recognize and manage performance of direct reports. Provide regular feedback to all direct reports. Set performance objectives, support development plans and monitor progress.
- Develop, conduct and manage educational programs.
- Lead and/or participate in EHSS Corporate audits to ensure compliance and maintain certification requirements, driving continuous improvement and governance excellence.

Required Skills:
- Proven ability to deliver results through the leadership of others.
- Proven track record of interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to interface well with other departments, and lead effectively and efficiently in a team environment to deliver results
- Must be able to work effectively with people at all levels inside and outside Vantive. Proven track record of interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to interface well with other departments and lead effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills including professional writing and the ability to prepare technical reports. Ability to respond to detailed inquiries and present information to groups and senior leaders.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good training and presentation skills required.
- In-depth process knowledge of related manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Ability to understand GMPs and other applicable regulatory guidelines.
Role requirements:
- B.S. Degree in Environmental, Safety, Engineering or related field required; M.S. Degree in Environmental or Safety Engineering or Technology preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience which should include 5 years of people management experience.
- Spanish language skills, written and oral, are preferred.
Education
- B.S. Degree in Environmental, Safety, Engineering or related field required; M.S. Degree in Environmental or Safety Engineering or Technology preferred
- Must be conversant in applicable EHSS&S regulations
- Professional certifications preferred

At Vantive, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $168,000 - $231,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
