Position:Depot Service Engineer (Medical Devices)

Type:Permanent

Work Office:Depot Service Centre in Old Toogabbie (expected to relocate to a new location nearby around mid-next year (potentially Seven Hills)

Report:Technical Services Lead

Visa Condition:Have valid working rights in Australia (Permanent Resident or Citizen)

Work Condition:Obtain NSW restricted electrical license (Can apply later)

Job Scope:

  • A Depot Service Engineer is responsible forInstallation, maintenance and service of all equipment, Vantive or otherwise, which Vantive may be associated or deem necessary either at site of installation or in the workshop.

  • Deliver on Technical Service goals and other related Key Performance Indicators (KPI) as communicated.

  • Completion of required product and other company training as required including but not limited to, Technical

  • Newsletter/ Service Bulletin familiarization, Technical Product Specialist communications and team workshop participations.

  • Flexibility for Out of hours/Public holiday travel and/or overtime work as required.

  • Availability for the on-call roster as scheduled on a rotating basis, per business needs.

  • Capacity and Capability to attend Work sites which include (but are not limited to) workshop, hospitals, clinics, patients’ homes and remote communities.

  • Eagerness for development opportunities including adopting Technical Service Specialist and Project Lead responsibilities.

  • Ensure business relationships reflect the basic principles of Vantive Values – Care, Trust, Innovation and Own It.

Job Descriptions:To meet or exceed defined Technical Service performance targets through:

Budget / Financial

  • Orders and maintains appropriate levels and type of spare parts which will be kept accurate at all times.

  • Ensures the overall business strategy is executed in relation to key financial targets inclusive of overall revenue, profitability and OPEX targets through cost effective service activities.

  • Assists with quotations for installation, maintenance and service repair works.

Technical

  • Facilitates all aspects of the Service Delivery process including timely acknowledgment, attendance and completion of all allocated cases in line with Best Practice, Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and Quality standards.

  • Disciplined approach to planning, preparation and execution of Installation, maintenance and service repair work, in line with business, customer and product requirements.

  • Ensuring all test and measuring equipment is operational and calibration timeframes are maintained in line with Global and local Calibration metrics.

  • Maintain availability for on-call 24-hour callout rosters as required.

  • Maintain accurate machine details, service activities and machine tracking through database upkeep and communication with Technical Services Administration team.

  • Completes all designated internal product and other company training as required including but not limited to, Technical Newsletter/ Service Bulletin familiarization, Technical Product Specialist communications and team workshop participations.

  • Provides first line phone and on-site technical support / troubleshooting for equipment on an ad hoc basis to ensure optimal uptime of equipment.

  • Seeks support from relevant Technical Service staff as per escalation process to facilitate timely and accurate resolution to customer perceived issues.

Customer Service

  • Ensure customer satisfaction in all aspects related to your duties with appropriate escalation to ensure proper action, follow up and customer communication is conducted on all service cases.

  • Actively participate in designated territory to ensure delivery of all committed KPI’s and contractual requirements.

  • Report areas of risk to Supervisor and assist to plan mitigation strategies.

Reporting

  • Ensures completion and appropriate filing of all required paperwork and reports including, but not limited to, installation checklists, stock movements and customer required reporting in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Timely submission of expenses and leave requests in line with Vantive protocols

Requirements:

  • Eligibility towards obtaining an NSW restricted electrical license.

  • Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Bachelor's degree in engineering.

  • At least 3 years of experience in the Healthcare Industry would be ideal.

  • Solid technical experience in an electro-mechanical and/or electrical field.

  • Any required certification for working in public places and the health field by local law.

  • Minimum basic skill level in MS Office applications.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work autonomously and as a team player, with a drive and determination to succeed.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Police & Health Clearance needed (When it comes to the hiring process).
