Summary:
Vantive’s Enterprise Architecture (EA) team partners with business and technology leaders to shape our future technology landscape, drive platform standards, and ensure secure, compliant, and scalable solutions for patient centric outcomes. As an Enterprise Architect (China), you will lead architecture strategy and governance for China initiatives, create reference architectures and roadmaps, and guide our business to align to Vantive’s EA guiding principles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Architecture strategy & roadmaps: Develop current to target state architectures and multi horizon roadmaps for China business and technology domains; align with global reference architectures and standards.
Reference architectures & patterns: Author and maintain reusable patterns (integration/data/security) fit for China needs (e.g., hosting, connectivity, localization) and ensure adoption by solution teams.
Governance & Architecture Review Board (ARB) engagement: Run lightweight, outcome focused architecture reviews; triage architectural significance, enable peer reviews, and escalate high risk items through EA workflows.
Solution coaching & design assurance: Partner with product, engineering, Business Relationship Managers (BRM), security, and data teams to ensure designs meet non functional requirements (scalability, reliability, security, compliance).
China localization & compliance awareness: Inform architecture choices considering China data privacy (PIPL), cybersecurity (MLPS), and cross border data transfer constraints; partner with Legal/Privacy.
Portfolio & standards enablement: Contribute to technology standards, capability maps, application portfolio management artifacts, and blueprints; provide inputs to investment planning.
Stakeholder engagement: Communicate clearly with senior leaders and delivery teams, translating business strategy into technology choices and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience producing target state architectures, roadmaps, and reference patterns, and driving their adoption at scale
Strong knowledge of cloud (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS), APIs/integration, data & analytics, security & compliance
Excellent facilitation and communication skills in Mandarin and English
Ability to work across time zones and lead through influence in a matrixed environment
Ability to organize and present technical status to senior management.
Ability to influence management on courses of action using both written and verbal methods. Effective oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated success in delivering results on several technical challenges.
Passionate about continuous learning and constantly keeps up with industry trends. Leverages current technology and processes for creating highly innovative software solutions that can be introduced in the marketplace in the time needed.
Believes in her/his ability to successfully take on new and difficult challenges, question the status quo and take risks.

Background and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
5+ years in architecture (enterprise, solution, or platform) with hands on design across application, data, and integration layers
Desired Characteristics:
Demonstrated technical expertise and domain experience
Experience with regulated industries (e.g., life sciences/med tech) and validation friendly patterns
Familiarity with EA governance models, Architecture Review Boards, capability mapping, Application Portfolio Management, and reference architecture libraries
Familiarity with deploying technology that adheres to China data/privacy and connectivity considerations (e.g., PIPL aligned design choices)
Certifications (e.g., TOGAF, cloud architect) are a plus
