Essential Duties
and
Responsibilities:
Assist Engineers to improve machine/ process yield and quality:- Analyze machine/ process issue and customer complaint Implement corrective and preventive actions Provide timely engineering support in failure analysis and CAPA resolution
Support achievement of department goals:- Participate and lead in PMT, SGA and VIP initiative. Drive and lead in OEE and productivity improvement Provide technical expertise for employee teams and implementation of employee suggestions (Kaizen) Further enhance machine performance (e.g. OEE ) through process modification, simplification and improvement
Technical support to production:- Provide timely support to resolve machine issue and breakdown so as to minimize unplanned production downtime Manage and implement effective PM program Spare parts management
New machine/ product start-up:- Assist to execute IQ, OQ & PQ validation. Compile and prepare training materials, and conduct training to technicians and operators on machine operations. Identify/ evaluate alternative methods or technologies
Engagement with engineers/supervisors and suppliers:- Technical exchange of information Input on issues and come up with proposals on resolution Evaluation of purchase parts, request for quotation
Responsible for compliance to EHS procedure and requirement.
Qualifications/
Education:
- NITEC (NTC/ ITC)/ Diploma or equivalent
Skill Set and/or
Experience:
- NITEC (NTC/ ITC) with at least 8 years/ Diploma with 2 years experience
- An SME (Subject Matter Experts) on key processes and equipment/ machineries
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Good understanding/knowledge in basic design of jigs and fixtures
- Good understanding of mechanical/electrical drawings and control system (PLC)
- A team player, resourcefulness, good attitude and teamwork
