As a Renal Therapy Specialist within our Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) division, you will play a pivotal role in supporting renal teams across the island of Ireland. You will bring clinical expertise, confidence, and educational leadership to every interaction, helping ensure patients can access the right dialysis therapy, at the right time, in the right place.

This role champions the preferred patient pathway, working in close partnership with healthcare professionals to support shared decision‑making and optimise renal care. You will collaborate cross‑functionally within Vantive to align clinical activity with strategic business priorities and marketing initiatives.

Territory: The assigned territory for this role includes Munster, Connaught, and designated areas within Ulster.

Your impact at Vantive

As our PD expert in the field, you will:

  • Champion clinical education and best practice in peritoneal dialysis
  • Partner closely with renal clinicians to improve patient pathways and therapy outcomes
  • Work alongside a highly collaborative team of Account Managers who rely on your clinical expertise to support customer success

Duties and responsibilities:

Clinical education

  • Educate healthcare professionals on shared decision‑making, using up‑to‑date clinical evidence to support appropriate therapy choice
  • Deliver clinical education on Vantive’s PD therapies, products, and services through an evidence‑based approach
  • Provide structured education and training through formal onsite or virtual training sessions

Customer partnership & support

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with renal and PD teams
  • Collaborate with PD and renal units on quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency
  • Support the management of customer concerns and complaints in line with internal procedures

Commercial partnership

  • Collaborate closely with Account Managers to deliver strategic objectives
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives, product guides, and clinical training materials
  • Maintain accurate and timely customer engagement records within the CRM system
  • Facilitate peer‑to‑peer networking and benchmarking opportunities across the territory

Continuous learning

  • Maintain currency with clinical evidence, guidelines, and product developments
  • Build deep expertise in PD therapies and the wider renal clinical environment

Education and experience requirements:

We’re looking for a clinically credible, confident professional who enjoys working in customer‑facing environments and sharing knowledge.

Essential:

  • A recognised nursing qualification with experience in dialysis (PD experience preferred)
  • Strong presentation and educational skills, with the ability to train clinicians at all levels
  • Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work independently and collaboratively
  • Commercial awareness and sound decision‑making skills
  • Willingness to travel across the region - Munster, Connaught and designated areas within Ulster (full driving licence required)
