The Sr. Director - HEMAR, Americas Region Head role has a dual responsibility across the Chronic and Acute portfolios BUs:
Responsible for reimbursement and policy strategies across the Americas region
Direct line management of HEMAR leads in the Americas region
Leadership of the HEMAR strategy for the Americas region by coordinating with the local marketing and sales organizations, driving for example economic evidence dissemination and value strategies with Payers and Providers
Input into strategic and business planning activities of both Chronic and Acute organizations
Represents the voice of non-clinical stakeholders in the Americas Region, establishes the access and evidence requirements for successful new product development and introduction, collaborates closely with R&D, Upstream Marketing and Medical Affairs
This position reports directly to VP Global HEMAR and will work in close collaboration with multiple internal partners and stakeholders, including, but not limited to, Global and local HEMAR teams, Marketing teams and Sales leadership, Medical Affairs and R&D.
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead HEMAR Strategy for the Americas. (including policy, reimbursement and HTA)
Direct line management of HEMAR team in the Americas region
Responsibility for economic evidence dissemination to payers and providers and building capability across the commercial (evidence-based selling) and Medical Affairs organization
Strategic partner for New Product Development (R&D) value proposition: non-clinical stakeholder dimension, value-based pricing, target product profile (TPP)
Lead economic evidence generation projects in the region (Outcomes Research)
FUNCTIONAL AND TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
MARKET ACCESS ASSESSMENT & STRATEGY – Leader
Understand the healthcare environment (including reimbursement, policy), the external marketplace and market access requirements in North America as well as other key geographies in the Americas region, with proven experience in Brazil and Mexico
Develop strategies for market access and adoption in the region
Provide inputs to relevant new product development, life-cycle optimization, licensing & acquisition
Support execution of commercial strategies with global/regional/country commercial partners
Understand commercial financial information related to the business, KPIs and financial forecasting metrics and trends impacted by market access, funding and reimbursement
STRATEGIC THINKING and INNOVATION- Expert
Apply HEMAR perspectives and knowledge to current and future portfolio and solution planning to deliver mid and long-term business success.
Working with cross-functional teams to develop a clear set of goals and plans.
Understand and shape innovation strategy to optimize value, access and adoption
Assess, shape and plan for quantifying potential value propositions and TPPs for NPD to optimize market access and adoption
Integration of value-based thinking and market access requirements into strategies, TPPs and Vantive Evidence Generation Strategies
Experience Requirements
Proven experience in North America and key geographies in the region including Mexico and Brazil: Health Economics and Outcomes Research, Health Technology Assessment, Market Access, Real World Evidence, Reimbursement
International experience, leading various markets or regions is highly preferred. (Has worked or supported in at least two different markets, one of them being NA)
Minimum of 10 years in space of Health Economics and Market Access
People Management experience of 5 plus years
Education Requirements
Advanced degree (MS, MPH, PhD) in a health economics related subject

The estimated base salary for this position is $200,000 - $280,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
