We are seeking an experienced Utilities Project Engineer to manage and deliver utility-related projects within our Liverpool site. The successful candidate will ensure that all utilities systems (HVAC, compressed air, steam, chilled water, etc.) meet operational, safety, and compliance requirements. This role involves planning, execution, and commissioning of projects in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage utilities projects from concept through to completion, ensuring compliance with GMP and safety standards.
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and qualification of utility systems (e.g., HVAC, steam, chilled water, compressed air).
- Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines, and ensure adherence to these.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Operations.
- Manage contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with site and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including risk assessments and validation protocols.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for utilities systems to optimize efficiency and reliability.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
- 3–5 years’ experience in utilities engineering within pharmaceutical, food, or brewery industry.
- Strong knowledge of GMP and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in project management and execution in a regulated environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with energy efficiency projects and sustainability initiatives.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) is an advantage.
