Vantive is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to join our Manufacturing Engineering team in Mountain Home, Arkansas. This internship provides hands-on experience in a highly regulated medical device manufacturing environment. The Engineering Intern will work closely with engineers, technicians, and operations personnel to support process improvements, equipment optimization, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives that contribute to product quality, operational efficiency, and patient safety.
This position offers an opportunity to gain practical engineering experience while developing technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills in a world-class manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist engineers with manufacturing process improvement projects.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret production and quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing
- Assist with equipment validation, process qualification, and documentation activities.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and engineering documentation.
- Support production trials, process studies, and equipment performance evaluations.
- Create reports, presentations, and visual management tools to communicate project progress and results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain.
- Observe and comply with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other engineering-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Biomedical Engineering Or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization tools.
- Experience with manufacturing, laboratory, or engineering projects through coursework or previous internships.

At Vantive, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is 39,424.00 - 49,280.00 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
