Position: Marketing Manager, Acute and Home Therapies
Office Location: Vantive Head Office, VicX, North Sydney
Report: General Manager, ANZ (Based in North Sydney)
Visa Condition: Must have valid working rights in Australia (Citizen or Permanent Resident)
Work Arrangement: Intentional Hybrid (3 days per week in the office and 2 days per week)
Job Scope: The Marketing Manager, Acute and Home Therapies (PD) leads the A/NZ marketing function, translating global and regional strategy into effective country plans that drive therapy growth, customer experience, patient journey improvement, portfolio performance and sustainable business outcomes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Strategy, Portfolio & Market Growth:
Lead the development and execution of the A/NZ marketing strategy across Acute and Home Therapies, ensuring global and regional priorities are translated into clear, commercially actionable local plans. Identify and prioritise growth opportunities through deep understanding of therapy trends, customer needs, clinician workflows, patient journey insights, funding environments, competitive dynamics and market development opportunities.
Own portfolio strategy and lifecycle management, including positioning, segmentation, value proposition development, launch planning, pricing input, market shaping initiatives and portfolio prioritisation. Establish clear growth ambitions and execution roadmaps that support both enterprise objectives and A/NZ business goals while improving patient access, customer experience and therapy adoption.
2. Commercial Leadership & Customer Engagement:
Act as a strategic commercial partner to the General Manager A/NZ and broader leadership team, bringing a strong external market, customer and patient perspective to business planning and decision-making. Collaborate closely with Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Development, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Finance, Supply Chain and regional and global teams to ensure marketing strategies are commercially sound, operationally executable and aligned to customer priorities. Drive customer-centric engagement strategies supporting consultative selling frameworks, customer segmentation, patient journey mapping, education programs, value narratives, account planning inputs, sales playbooks and field enablement tools. Support customer conversations by equipping teams to articulate clinical, operational, economic and patient experience value, helping strengthen relationships, influence therapy adoption and improve business performance.
3. Marketing Excellence, Digital & Execution
Lead all aspects of marketing execution, including product and therapy launches, campaigns, communications, digital engagement, customer education, events, omnichannel programs and connected health initiatives. Ensure global and regional strategies are effectively adapted for A/NZ customers while maintaining brand consistency, scientific integrity and compliance requirements. Position digital and connected health as key enablers of customer engagement, therapy adoption, patient journey improvement and business growth through the use of data, automation, education platforms, customer engagement technologies and personalised communications. Oversee marketing operations including planning processes, campaign calendars, supplier management, content development, promotional review processes, budget administration and governance to ensure activities are coordinated, customer-focused, measurable and delivered to a high standard.
4. Performance, Insights & Governance
Establish a robust performance management framework that links strategy, execution and business outcomes. Define, monitor and report both lead and lag performance indicators that provide visibility of execution progress, customer engagement, portfolio performance, therapy adoption, patient growth, commercial outcomes and return on investment. Convert market intelligence, customer insights, competitor activity, campaign analytics, digital engagement metrics, sales trends and business performance data into actionable recommendations that improve strategic decision-making and resource allocation. Lead regular business reviews, executive reporting, performance discussions and governance forums, providing clear insights into opportunities, risks, corrective actions and investment priorities. Ensure leadership teams have timely, evidence-based information to steer strategy execution and accelerate growth.
5. People Leadership, Culture, Compliance & Resource Stewardship
Lead and develop a high-performing marketing organisation comprising Product Management, Marketing Operations and Marketing Communications teams. Build capability across strategic marketing, commercial acumen, digital engagement, customer experience, analytics and execution excellence through coaching, mentoring and clear accountability. Foster a culture of collaboration, curiosity, innovation, ownership and continuous improvement, ensuring strong alignment across strategy, content, campaigns, operations and communications. Manage marketing budgets, suppliers and resources responsibly, ensuring investments are prioritised against strategic objectives, customer impact, compliance obligations and expected business outcomes. Ensure all marketing activities, materials and educational initiatives comply with Vantive policies, legal and regulatory requirements, industry codes and ethical standards. Serve as a visible culture champion, consistently modelling Vantive's values of Care, Trust, Innovate and Own It, while promoting an inclusive, customer-focused and high-performance environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business, Science, Healthcare, Nursing, Biomedical Science or a related discipline.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Management or a related field are desirable.
- Marketing qualifications and/or proven experience in medical devices, healthcare or life sciences marketing are essential
- Strategic Marketing & Commercial Leadership
- Significant experience in marketing, product management, portfolio strategy or commercial leadership, with a proven track record in go-to-market strategy, product launches, lifecycle management, market development and commercial execution.
- Market Planning & Performance Management
- Demonstrated ability to translate global and regional strategies into local market plans, using lead and lag indicators to monitor performance, optimise execution and evaluate business outcomes.
- People Leadership & Organisational Effectiveness
- Proven experience leading marketing teams across product management, marketing operations and communications, while managing budgets, investment priorities and marketing effectiveness.
- Cross-Functional & Matrix Collaboration
- Experience working effectively in complex matrix environments and partnering with Sales, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Market Development and external agencies to deliver business objectives.
- Digital, Omnichannel & Executive Communication Capabilities
- Experience leveraging omnichannel marketing, digital platforms, customer engagement tools, connected health solutions and data insights to improve customer experience and business performance, with the ability to prepare and present executive-level business reviews and strategic updates.

- Ability to translate enterprise, regional and global priorities into local execution plans that drive revenue growth, market share, therapy adoption, profitability and customer outcomes.

- Proven ability to lead, develop and motivate high-performing teams while effectively influencing senior leaders, matrix partners and cross-functional stakeholders in complex environments.
- Customer, Market Development & Value Creation
- Deep customer-centric focus with the ability to leverage patient journey insights, clinical and economic evidence, customer value propositions and consultative selling resources to support therapy adoption, customer engagement and business growth.
- Execution, Communication & Digital Enablement
- Strong capability in strategic communication, project management, omnichannel marketing, digital engagement and executive reporting, combined with a commitment to compliance, quality and ethical marketing practices. Ability to travel as required across ANZ and the region.
