Position: Product Manager, Acute Therapies

Type: Permanent

Work Location: Head Office in Victoria Cross, Sydney (Preferable)

Flexibility: Intentionally Hybrid WFH/ Office

Report: Marketing Manager, ANZ
Job Scope:  This position is responsible for the portfolio’s strategic direction through market positioning and opportunity assessment; tactical and commercial support, including launch planning and life cycle management; internal team training; account support and development and online education. The product portfolio includes innovative technologies spanning continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), extracorporeal carbon dioxide removal (ECCO2R) therapy, Sepsis management and digital enablement with cloud-based analytics

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and drive the strategic direction of the Acute Therapies portfolio, in alignment with local requirements, regional and global guidelines.

  • Manage product life cycle: introduction, discontinuation and in-market product changes.

  • Review proposed product introductions, conduct market research to determine suitability for local markets.

  • Develop annual marketing plan in concert with Marketing Manager

  • Coordinate product launches including market preparation, launch, training activities and metrics.

  • Manage product positioning and pricing, support contract and tender submission.

  • Conduct market insight activities to enhance knowledge and understanding of emerging therapies market.

  • Monitor post market product feedback and provide local SME input to global marketing to help drive innovation.

  • Build strong relationships with Demand Planning and Supply Planning and actively engage in Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SI&OP) to develop short-term and long-term product sales forecasts.

  • Manage Vantive Learning Services for the Acute Therapies portfolio.

  • Develop marketing and education collateral in collaboration with Global Marketing and Medical Affairs.

  • Create and manage campaigns and content and deliver through effective channel mix.

  • Work closely with QA in the product complaint process and support prompt communication to customers where required.

  • Manage trade show messaging and presence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, biomedicine, or a related field (e.g., health sciences) (highly desirable).

  • Marketing qualifications and/or proven experience in medical device marketing (essential).

  • 3+ years of experience within the medical device industry (highly desirable) AND device interoperability experience (highly desirable).

  • Proven product launch experience and digital enablement/cloud-based services in the critical care segment.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in omnichannel strategy execution (including customer journey mapping, and channel transitioning for unified experience).

  • Creative/design thinking.

  • Positive, proactive approach to solving complex and/or unusual clinical or technical problems.

  • Experience within acute therapies is desirable.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.

  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with customers, physicians, nurses and other allied health professionals.

  • Ability to travel up to 30% as needed to collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders.
