Position: Maintenance Supervisor (Production)

Location: Nikom Amata City Rayong

Reporting Manager: Maintenance Manager
Job Scope: The Maintenance Supervisor leads a team of Engineers and Technicians to ensure equipment reliability and support production delivery. The role is responsible for troubleshooting equipment issues, driving preventive maintenance programs, improving OEE and equipment performance, reducing downtime, managing maintenance costs, and ensuring compliance with HSE, Quality, and regulatory requirements

Job Descriptions:

1. Operation and Maintenance

  • Partner with Production to ensure equipment availability and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) meet production delivery requirements and business targets.

  • Monitor, analyze, and improve equipment reliability performance through key maintenance metrics including OEE, MTTR (Mean Time to Repair), MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), and downtime analysis.

  • Lead troubleshooting activities for machine breakdowns, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement effective corrective and preventive actions to continuously reduce equipment downtime.

  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance (PM), predictive maintenance (PdM), and autonomous maintenance (AM) programs to maximize equipment reliability and production efficiency.

  • Review machine and equipment condition regularly, identify potential risks, and establish improvement plans to prevent unplanned stoppages.

  • Ensure all critical production equipment operates within defined control parameters and performance specifications.

  • Identify equipment requiring replacement, upgrade, automation, or capacity improvement investment based on reliability, obsolescence, safety, and business needs.

  • Lead equipment investment and improvement projects from feasibility study, budgeting, specification development, procurement, installation, commissioning, validation, and handover to Production.

  • Manage spare parts strategy (Critical Spare List, Obsolescence Management, Inventory Optimization) and contractor performance to ensure maintenance effectiveness and minimum production disruption.

  • Provide technical support to Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities, and Utilities systems to achieve minimum production downtime.

2. Cost Management

  • Prepare and manage the Production Maintenance annual Operating Expenditure (OPEX) budget, ensuring adequate allocation of resources to support production and maintenance activities.

  • Monitor and control departmental spending to ensure expenditure is aligned with the approved budget and financial targets.

  • Initiate, lead, or participate in cost-saving and productivity improvement projects to support the plant's Value Improvement Program (VIP) objectives.

  • Identify opportunities for reducing maintenance costs through optimization of spare parts inventory, maintenance strategies, energy consumption, and contractor management.

  • Track and report budget performance, cost-saving achievements, and cost avoidance initiatives to management.

  • Support capital expenditure (CAPEX) planning by providing technical and financial justification for equipment upgrades, replacements, and reliability improvement projects.

3. People management

  • Plan, organize, and optimize teamwork schedules, manpower allocation, and shift coverage to support production and maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and establish individual development plans to enhance technical competency, leadership capability, and career growth.

  • Identify training needs and coordinate technical, safety, and compliance training programs to strengthen team capabilities and operational excellence.

  • Promote effective communication and collaboration between Maintenance, Production, Quality, Engineering, and other support functions to ensure successful production delivery.

  • Recognize and develop high-potential employees to build succession plans and strengthen organizational capability

4. HSE & Quality Compliance & ISO

  • Ensure all maintenance activities and critical production equipment comply with local SOP requirements, GMP, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable ISO standards to prevent non-conformance and operational risks

  • Ensure technicians and maintenance personnel are trained and competent to perform maintenance activities in accordance with approved procedures, specifications, work instructions, and SOPs.

  • Support qualification, validation, commissioning, and documentation activities for new equipment, systems, and production processes in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.

  • Regularly review and update maintenance procedures, SOPs, risk assessments, and technical documentation to ensure effectiveness, accuracy, and compliance with current standards.

  • Ensure HSE risk assessments, permit-to-work requirements, and appropriate control measures are implemented before commencement of maintenance activities

  • Lead investigation of safety incidents, equipment-related quality issues, and near-miss events; implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence

  • Conduct routine Gemba Walks and promote 6S workplace standards to ensure a safe, organized, and efficient production environment.

  • Support internal, external, and regulatory audits, ensuring timely closure of audit findings and sustained compliance with quality and HSE management systems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related fields.

  • 5 years’ experience in Supervisory Level for Maintenance Engineering in Production Line.

  • Knowledge of Reliability Engineering

  • OEE Improvement Methodology

  • Root Cause Analysis Tools (5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA)

  • Project Management

  • Experience in PLC Automation.

  • Experience in Data Analysis & Team Management.

  • Understanding Basic GMP, ISO requirements.

  • Well understanding and able to lead TPM (Total Preventive Maintenance).

  • Logical thinking, Mature, Responsible.

  • Practical Level of English Communication

  • Quality and Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) mindset.
