JOB TITLE: System Engineer II
JOB LOCATION: Whitefield, Bengaluru
Summary:
As Systems Engineer you will contribute to the development and maintenance of medical devices by supporting system-level design, analysis, and integration activities. Your role helps ensure that complex electromechanical, software, and hardware components work together safely, effectively, and in compliance with medical device regulations. As part of the Systems Engineering team within the R&D organization, you will collaborate with cross‑functional partners in Software, Hardware, V&V, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, and Manufacturing. You will assist in translating clinical and user needs into system requirements, performing risk assessments, supporting verification and validation activities, and contributing to technical documentation.
The ideal candidate is a curious and motivated engineer with strong analytical skills, eagerness to learn, and a passion for contributing to technologies that improve patient care and outcomes. You demonstrate passion for innovation, excitement and energy for product development, and a passion for their work and the impact it has on extending lives and expanding possibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in translating user needs and clinical use cases into clear, measurable system requirements.
Help maintain requirement traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
Participate in requirement reviews and document updates under guidance of senior engineers.
Support the creation of system block diagrams, interface definitions, and architecture documents.
Perform basic system analysis (e.g., functional decomposition, interface checks, tolerance evaluations).
Assist in evaluating component feasibility within electromechanical systems.
Support hazard identification, risk assessment, and implementation of risk controls in alignment with ISO 14971.
Document risk‑related findings and contribute to design mitigation activities.
Work with Software, Hardware, V&V, Quality, Clinical, and Manufacturing teams to understand system needs and constraints.
Attend cross‑functional design reviews and support preparation of technical materials.
Support integration of subsystems (software, electronics, mechanics) during prototype builds and testing.
Assist in troubleshooting integration issues with guidance from senior staff.
Desirable:
Exposure to use of tools like MATLAB, software coding in C/C++
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical or related discipline.
Excellent communication and coordination skills
