Job Summary
• Job Title – Senior Engineer
• Location – Whitefield, Bangalore
• Shift – General
Having independent responsibility of understanding the product requirements & updating the test protocols & procedures for existing products at Sub system and System level. It includes verification and validation, environmental, performance, reliability and safety/regulatory related tests and executing the same, documenting the reports. The role will also have an independent responsibility of following instructions clearly in executing Test procedures, work with Design engineers to help build Test fixtures/assemblies and assisting with Lab logistics. The candidate will also be a part of Lab Management team to ensures the Laboratory controls are in place in line with FDA guidelines.
- Develop and Perform Design Verification & IQ/OQ/PQ,
- Support for Instrument Management and Calibration
- Own consumable management/Logistics/ Tracking of parts.
- Support PM for Reliability equipment’s and Thermal Chambers
- Follow safety guidelines and monitor the same for Lab operations.
- Responsible for understanding the product requirements & developing/updating the test protocols & procedures for the new and / or existing products at Sub system and System level.
- Co-ordinate with design & development team to start the testing early in the design cycle to ensure the requirements testability, design traceability & test coverage. Identify issues early to fix the same. Refine the test plans and procedures through pre-verification activities.
- Participate in investigations for identifying the root cause and drives action to prevent such issues recurring in future.
- Qualify and manage processes and tools required to support the verification and validation activities. Providing technical support as applicable.
- Clear understanding and proven experience on basic requirements of unit, integration and system level verification and validation requirements.
- Ensures good documentation practices are followed in the V&V process.
- Identify and report any quality or compliance issues during verification & validation activities.
- Diagnose, isolate, and investigate the problem reports, as applicable.
Qualifications & Key Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering
- Overall 4 to 7 yrs of experience with minimum 2 years in System Verification testing and performance testing.
- Experience in Lab Management and establishing Laboratory controls in line with FDA regulations.
- Experience in developing the Procedures and Processes for Device Engineering labs and Testing facilities. Relevant technical testing/reliability experience in electro-mechanical, electrical, devices.
- Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective / Preventive action as needed
- An understanding of test methods and processes as well as the methods used to verify product in the realms of; software, mechanical, electrical, functional and environmental testing environments.
Skills
- Good knowledge and design & trouble shooting experience in electronic components (passives, discrete semiconductors, and integrated circuits).
- Hands on experience in using electronic laboratory test equipment like DMM, Oscilloscope, Power supply etc.
- Relevant technical testing/reliability experience in electro-mechanical and electrical testing.
- Understanding of hardware and software product design methodologies and test practices.
- Hands on experience in electronic boards functional and performance testing.
- Strong logical and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills. Ability to follow instructions clearly
