Your Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ERP Technical Lead with deep technical expertise in JD Edwards to oversee the design, development, optimization, and troubleshooting of the Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Invoicing processes within our organization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical experience in ERP systems, particularly JD Edwards, and will be responsible for leading technical efforts related to system configuration, integration, and performance optimization for Order Management and Invoicing workflows. The ERP Technical Lead will collaborate with business stakeholders, third-party support teams, and delivery teams to ensure the seamless execution of system enhancements and continuous improvements to meet evolving business requirements. Additionally, this role involves taking full ownership of cloned applications, improving system performance, scalability, and ensuring that the long-term technical roadmap aligns with business objectives. 

This role is remote and requires the individual to be based in México.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide the technical and functional support of the JD Edwards ERP system for the Order Management, Hardware Tracking MDM and Technical Serive Modules. 

  • Lead the technical design and development of the JD Edwards ERP system for the Order Management and Invoicing modules, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and system stability. 

  • Oversee the cloning process of existing applications to bring them in-house, ensuring complete technical ownership, and ensuring that cloned systems are optimized for future business growth. 

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze technical requirements, then translate them into actionable system design and development tasks, prioritizing performance and functionality. 

  • Configure JD Edwards systems for Order Management and Invoicing, focusing on technical optimization, integration, and ensuring system configurations meet business and technical specifications. 

  • Partner with third-party support teams and delivery teams to address technical issues, implement necessary enhancements, and ensure all technical solutions are aligned with global IT standards. 

  • Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning for Order Management and Invoicing modules, focusing on resolving integration issues with other systems, databases, and external services. 

  • Lead system integration efforts for Order-to-Cash and Invoicing processes, integrating JD Edwards with third-party applications, APIs, EDI systems, and legacy platforms, ensuring data consistency and streamlined workflows. 

  • Develop and implement technical solutions for process improvements and optimization within order management and invoicing workflows, utilizing JD Edwards’ capabilities and integrating custom developments. 

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including detailed system designs, architecture diagrams, API documentation, and user manuals to support system deployment, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance. 

  • Manage system upgrades, patches, and technical enhancements for JD Edwards, specifically for the Order Management and Invoicing modules, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. 

  • Ensure system compliance with industry standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements, including internal controls, auditability, and documentation standards. 

  • Develop technical reports, dashboards, and analytical tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs), monitor system health, and optimize system performance within the Order-to-Cash process. 

  • Optimize cloned applications by enhancing system functionality, scalability, performance, and user experience, ensuring the solutions evolve in line with business needs. 

  • Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure technical specifications, quality standards, and project timelines are met, and technical solutions are delivered according to business requirements. 

  • Ability to work with multiple geographies in a multicultural environment. 

  • Ability and maturity to manage senior level stakeholders globally. 

  • Experience in working in regulated environments (i.e. privacy/compliance) 

  • Design thinking awareness and prior usage strongly preferred. 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. 

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in a technical role working with JD Edwards ERP, particularly in the Order Management and Invoicing modules. 

  • Strong technical proficiency in configuring and customizing JD Edwards, including system architecture, performance optimization, integration, and troubleshooting for Order Management and Invoicing workflows. 

  • Extensive experience in JD Edwards 9.2 or later versions, with a focus on Order Management, Invoicing, and related modules. 

  • Solid understanding of technical workflows in Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes and how they integrate with other systems such as third-party applications. 

  • Proficiency in system integrations, including the ability to design and implement APIs, web services, and integration tools between JD Edwards and external systems. 

  • Expertise in debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting technical issues within JD Edwards, focusing on system performance and scalability improvements. 

  • Strong experience with SQL, database management, and creating complex queries for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data within JD Edwards. 

  • Proficiency in creating technical documentation such as system architecture diagrams, API documentation, configuration specs, and user manuals. 

  • Experience in managing system upgrades and patches for JD Edwards, ensuring all technical aspects of the system are aligned with global business objectives. 

  • Experience with cloning applications and optimizing in-house systems to improve scalability, performance, and maintainability. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a deep technical aptitude to analyze and resolve complex issues and implement sustainable solutions. 

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring the technical solution meets the broader business needs. 

  • Experience in project management for ERP systems, particularly related to technical upgrades, implementations, or large-scale system enhancements, is highly preferred. 

  • Strong communication skills in English (verbal, written, and listening).
