The Travel & Expense (T&E) Program Administration Leader provides end‑to‑end leadership and hands‑on operational oversight for the company’s global Travel & Expense ecosystem. This role owns the strategy, governance, and daily execution of travel and expense operations, including travel agency management, corporate travel cards, P‑cards, meeting/event cards, and expense administration.
The role acts as the single point of accountability for program performance, controls, vendor management, and employee experience, while directly leading the T&E operations and analysis team responsible for day‑to‑day delivery.
Scope of Accountability:
Enterprise ownership across:
Global travel and expense program governance
Travel agency and booking platforms
Corporate travel cards, P‑cards, and meeting/event cards
Expense reimbursement operations
Day‑to‑day T&E operations and analytics team
Vendor and platform relationships
Internal controls, audit readiness, and risk management
What You'll Be Doing
Enterprise Program Leadership
Own the global T&E program vision, operating model, and roadmap.
Serve as Global Process Owner for Travel & Expense within the end‑to‑end finance process landscape.
Establish governance, decision rights, and escalation paths.
Balance employee experience, compliance, and cost optimization.
Day‑to‑Day Operational Ownership
Maintain direct accountability for daily T&E operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant execution.
Oversee:
Expense report processing and issue resolution
Card administration requests and escalations
Travel booking and traveler support issues
Act as the final escalation point for complex, high‑risk, or executive T&E issues.
Ensure operational performance meets defined SLAs and service expectations.
People Leadership – T&E Operations & Analysis Team
Lead, coach, and develop the global T&E analysts and administrators.
Set clear performance expectations, goals, and development plans.
Ensure appropriate workload management, coverage, and skill alignment.
Build analytical capability within the team to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and service excellence.
Travel Policy & Governance
Own execution of global travel and expense policies.
Ensure consistent application while managing approved exceptions.
Translate policy into executable processes, controls, and system configurations.
Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Audit on policy interpretation and enforcement.
Travel Agency & Booking Management
Lead relationships with global and regional travel management companies (TMCs).
Define and manage SLAs, KPIs, and service quality metrics.
Ensure alignment between policy, booking tools, and traveler behavior.
Drive adoption of preferred suppliers and negotiated rates.
Card Program Management
Own governance and administration of:
Corporate travel cards
Purchasing cards (P‑cards)
Meeting and event cards
Oversee full card lifecycle (issuance, limits, suspension, termination).
Ensure timely card actions aligned with HR events (hire, role change, termination).
Monitor spend patterns, exceptions, and fraud indicators.
Partner with treasury on relationships with card issuers and banking partners.
Operational Excellence & Controls
Define and maintain T&E process documentation and controls aligned with SOX and internal control standards.
Establish and monitor KPIs, KRIs, and SLAs across operations and vendors.
Reduce manual work, rework, and exceptions through standardization and automation.
Own audit responses, remediation plans, and control gap closure.
Vendor & Service Delivery Management
Manage performance of travel agencies, T&E platforms, banks, and outsourced providers.
Ensure contracts, SLAs, and cost structures support enterprise objectives.
Drive vendor accountability and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder & Change Leadership
Partner with Finance, HR, Procurement, IT, Security, and business leaders globally.
Lead communications and training for policy, process, and system changes.
Support shared services transitions, system implementations, and operating model changes.

What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
8–12+ years in Finance Operations, Shared Services, or Global Program Leadership
Proven experience leading both program governance and daily operations
Demonstrated people leadership experience managing operational teams
Strong understanding of T&E, card programs, and internal controls
Experience managing global vendors and banking partners
Experience in GBS / VBS or shared services environments
Exposure to T&E system implementations or transformations
Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence background
Strong executive communication and influence skills
