Job Scope: The Finance Manager, APAC – Supply Chain, provides financial leadership and analytical support across demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and S&OP/MRR cycles. This role partners closely with the APAC P&F organization, cluster finance teams, and the regional Finance COE / VBS teams to ensure high-quality forecasts, accurate reporting, service-cost analytics, and working capital insights. As a mid-level regional role, the incumbent leads P&F planning & reporting process, consolidates APAC results, supports P&F and supply chain related decision making, and acts as a key business partner for the P&F and cluster finance teams.
Job descriptions:
1. Supply Chain (P&F) Finance Leadership
Lead P&F financial planning, reporting and analysis related activities, including AOP, Forecasts and LBE cycles.
Support month‑end close activities related to P&F function including proposing /reviewing accruals for expedite freight, demurrage, storage, and other supply chain cost drivers.
Provide structured insights for MRR/QRR/Forecast cycles with region wide consolidation.
Lead finance inputs into APAC monthly S&OP/MRR cycles, ensuring alignment with the regional plan.
Consolidate APAC P&F financials for MRR, QRR, Mid-Month, Annual Plan, and LRP.
Partner with regional COE to ensure timely, consistent, and accurate submissions.
Prepare executive ready narratives summarizing key drivers and insights.
Partner with countries and cluster finance leaders to prepare / standardize templates, assumptions, and sensitivity analysis.
2. Demand, Supply & Fulfillment Financial Support
Perform detailed variance analysis of actuals vs. forecast across demand, supply, fulfilment cost, and inventory metrics and explain key drivers
Provide financial insights on demand forecasts, volume/mix drivers, and service-level implications.
Support supply planning teams with costed supply scenarios (capacity, sourcing, lead-time, expedite decisions).
Run scenario simulations for supply-demand cost / balancing and communicate implications to regional leadership.
Assess financial impact of forecast changes, fill-rate targets, and backorder recovery plans.
3. Inventory & Working Capital Related
Track and analyze key APAC inventory metrics.
Evaluate financial impact of inventory policies, MOQ changes, planning parameters, and network constraints.
Produce regular inventory risk & opportunity assessments for regional Finance and Supply Chain.
4. Projects & Efficiency Improvement Initiatives
Support fulfilment strategy reviews (e.g., network changes, contract manufacturing decisions, stocking strategies).
Monitoring & reporting on projects / initiatives related to profitability improvements (MIPs) and cost reduction.
Develop and maintain dashboards for forecast accuracy, bias, customer service levels, aging, and supply reliability.
Support data automation for P&F KPIs through collaboration with COE and data teams.
5. Governance, Controls & Compliance
Ensure financial integrity across planning & reporting related processes: assumptions, accruals, inventory reserves, standard methodology in forecasting and costing and other relevant compliance.
Support audit requirements related to planning, inventory, and fulfillment.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related discipline.
CPA, CMA, MBA, or advanced analytics qualifications are a plus but not required.
5–8 years of finance or operations finance experience, with at least 2–3 years in planning, supply chain, S&OP/IBP, or operations analytics.
Strong analytical capability; ability to translate planning metrics into financial implications.
Excellent communication and business partnering across multicultural APAC teams.
High attention to detail with the ability to manage ambiguity in a fast-moving regional environment.
Strong proficiency in Excel and analytical tools; familiarity with S&OP platforms and ERP systems (SAP/JDE/Oracle).
Experience with forecasting, inventory analytics, and planning simulations strongly preferred.
