Key Responsibilities

  • Statutory Reporting

  • Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
  • Perform trial balance reviews, account analysis, adjustments, and reclassifications for statutory reporting.
  • Ensure timely filing of annual financial statements and statutory reports with relevant authorities.
  • Review and validate statutory disclosures, notes to accounts, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with local legal and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • External Audit Coordination

  • Lead audit coordination activities and act as the primary contact for external auditors.
  • Prepare and review audit schedules, supporting documents, and audit deliverables.
  • Manage the Prepared By Client (PBC) process and ensure timely closure of audit requests.
  • Track open audit issues and provide status updates to management and stakeholders.
  • Support the resolution of audit findings and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Tax Compliance & Tax Accounting

  • Coordinate with external tax advisors and tax agents on direct and indirect tax matters.
  • Prepare and review corporate tax computations, tax returns, tax provisions, and deferred tax calculations.
  • Support VAT, GST, SST, and other indirect tax compliance activities.
  • Assist in transfer pricing compliance and documentation requirements.
  • Support tax audits, inquiries, and responses from tax authorities.
  • Month-End Close & Controls

  • Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations in BlackLine.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, internal controls, and company policies.
  • Identify control gaps and recommend process improvements to strengthen compliance and efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with local finance teams, controllers, auditors, and tax agents.
  • Provide guidance and support on statutory and tax-related matters.
  • Drive standardization, automation, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Support regional and global finance projects as required.
  • Mentor junior team members and share knowledge within the team.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in statutory reporting, tax compliance, external audit, or financial accounting.
  • Experience in multinational corporations, shared services, or audit firms is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory reporting requirements.
  • Experience managing statutory audits and tax compliance processes.

Technical Skills

  • Experience with ERP systems such as JDE.
  • Experience with BlackLine and reporting tools is an advantage.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and continuous improvement mindset.
