The Sr Procurement Specialistwill play a key role in leading sourcing initiatives for manufacturing equipment and construction investments across the EMEA region. The Sr Procurement Specialist will manage complex sourcing projects, drive RFPs and contract negotiations, and collaborate closely with suppliers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver value and support business objectives. You will contribute to category strategy execution, build strong supplier and stakeholder partnerships, and provide insights and reporting to senior leadership. This is an exciting opportunity for a procurement professional with CAPEX sourcing experience and strong communication and negotiation skills in a global environment
Main Responsibilities :
- Understanding of the Vantive CAPEX category : global & local markets, supplier base, contracting methodology, etc.
- Contribute to the execution of Sourcing strategy by leading sourcing activities through RFIs/RFPs and contract negotiations for specific category.
- Develop strong, ethical relationships with Vantive suppliers and ensure that activities are conducted under the auspices of good business practices and consistent with the Vantive Code of Ethics.
- Teamwork through close communication with the Procurement colleagues and the Category Managers assigned to the category within the Procurement structure at a local, regional and global level.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams - AP, Systems & Analytics, commodity leads, etc. - and generate timely reports for Sr. Category Manager and Leadership.
- Stakeholder Management : Develop strong partnerships with key internal customers, and foster two-way supportive relationships with them.
- Communicate in a professional and effective way with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the necessary buy-in for the sourcing projects and the strategy implementation.
- Provide regular progress updates for the CAPEX category to the Senior Management and to key internal stakeholders.
Specific to CAPEX Category
- Manage complex sourcing projects related to manufacturing equipment and construction investments in the EMEA region.
- Execute Capital Sourcing activities following Vantive Capital Procurement Process for assigned projects.
- Drive or coordinate RFPs, negotiate contracts, master services/purchase agreements as per agreed Sourcing Strategy
- Develop the negotiation strategy and lead negotiations for the relevant sourcing projects, developing the appropriate evaluation models (TCO, should-cost, life cycle cost analysis) .
- Participate in the regular investment reviews with the sites with the aim to identify synergies, share lessons learned and give guidance as per the relevant category strategies.
- Support the supplier selection and contract negotiation process for key projects, within Capex.
- Register the projects pipeline in the appropriate sourcing tools and provide regular reporting as to their status and expected benefits.
Experience & Competencies :
- Experience in CAPEX Procurement execution - experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and / or construction services is considered as an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a mufti-cultural and matrix environment
- Must be able to speak and write fluently in English. Other languages are an asset (i.e French, ltalian, German, etc)
- Good command of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
