Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate as an active member of the Malaysia Business Leadership teams.
- Provide clinical and scientific advice to the Malaysia Leadership team to develop and implement effective growth strategies.
- Maintain strong cross functional collaboration for development and implementation Market Development activities in Malaysia and APAC for Chronic Therapies.
- Ensure clear communication with MTV (Malaysia Thailand Vietnam) WWM Head around clinical and market insights, growth strategies and internal communication
- Develop and implement the Medical Plans for ESKD and Vital Organ therapy (including new product launches) for Malaysia ensuring alignment with cross functional growth strategy.
- Provide strong scientific leadership for the company and function as a key liaison between the company and its external scientific advisors and clinical consultants.
- Participate in business development activities; providing input to the strategic direction of Vantive’s development portfolio and how to develop and position these assets for ultimate regulatory and commercial success.
- Participate as an active member of the Malaysia E&C India committee.
- Ensure provision of high-quality medical education activities are developed and implemented to meet compliance regulations.
- Medical review of advertisement and promotional materials for Malaysia
- Represent the company in a positive fashion and maintain key relationships with clinical and research communities and leaders.
- Be responsible for the Malaysia WWM budget
Qualifications:
Setting Evidence Generation Strategy and Influencing Business Strategy:
- Maintains strong scientific collaborations with thought leaders to efficiently collect actionable insights
- Developing evidence strategies, collaborating with global and regional teams, that address the evidence gaps while managing budgets, ensuring compliance, and communicating findings to stakeholders through publications and presentation
- The inclination to seek and analyze data from a variety of sources to support decisions and to align others with the organization's overall strategy.
- An entrepreneurial and creative approach to developing new, innovative ideas that will stretch the organization and push the boundaries within the industry.
Executing for Results:
- Understanding of the general healthcare environment laws and regulations within their region and of evolving market access issues.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty; the ability to adapt nimbly and lead others through complex situations.
Relationships and Influence:
- Naturally connects and builds strong relationships with others, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and an ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.
- An ability to inspire trust and followership in others through compelling influence, powerful charisma, passion in his/her beliefs, and active drive.
Education and/or Experience:
- Medical Doctor, PhD or PharmD with a minimum of 10 years of experience in medical affairs or equivalent clinical leadership roles
- Proven track record of significant contribution to medical and/or commercial strategies.
- Experience in managing both internal and contracted resources to effectively manage and execute medical programs.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, execute and track WWM Education (non-promotional)
- Demonstrated ability to develop medical and scientific plans in support of end game product differentiation, customer needs, and clinical practice patterns.
- Demonstrated ability to bring strategic insight to commercial and market development plans.
- Experience and demonstrated track record in evidence generation and the interpretation and communication of scientific data
- Strong relationships with scientific leadership and other key stakeholders (public groups, KOLs, government officials, medical professional organizations) in the Nephrology and Intensive Care therapeutic areas.
