Role overview

As a Senior Accountant in the Controlling Team, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial reporting for assigned EMEA legal entities. The role will primarily support Nordics countries and, depending on business needs, may also provide accounting and controlling support to other EMEA countries such as Benelux or France. The position supports Controllers and regional leadership across US GAAP accounting, statutory reporting, tax coordination, and governance activities.

What you’ll do

Financial Reporting & Month-End Close

• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities;
• Review Balance Sheet and P&L for accuracy and completeness;
• Prepare accruals, provisions, reserves, and reclassifications;
• Cooperate with A2R and FP&A during close.

Statutory Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare statutory financial statements under local GAAP;
• Perform US GAAP to Local GAAP mapping and bridges;
• Support statutory audits and filings;
• Ensure compliance with local accounting requirements.

Tax & Intercompany Coordination

• Support tax processes (CIT, VAT, transfer pricing support);
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and rebilling support;
• Ensure compliance with transfer pricing policies.

Internal Controls & Governance

• Perform balance sheet reviews and account reconciliations;
• Support SOX and internal control compliance;
• Prepare audit-ready documentation.

Business Partnering & Continuous Improvement

• Act as a finance partner to Controllers;
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities;
• Support transformation and onboarding of new entities.

What you’ll bring

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics;
• ACCA / CIMA / ACA / CPA (completed or in progress) preferred;
• Several years of experience in accounting or controlling;
• Strong US GAAP and Local GAAP knowledge;
• Experience with ERP systems (JDE preferred) and Excel;
• Fluent English required;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Attention to detail and ownership mindset;
• Ability to work independently in a multi-country environment;
• Clear communication and proactivity.
