Vantive is seeking to recruit two motivated candidates to join our Electrical Apprenticeship Programme at our Castlebar and Swinford sites. This role offers the opportunity to complete a 4‑year SOLAS Electrical Apprenticeship while gaining paid, hands‑on experience in a regulated healthcare manufacturing environment.
Apprentices benefit from structured mentoring, continuous skills development, exposure to advanced technologies, and access to a clear career pathway within a global healthcare and pharmaceutical organisation. Successful candidates will be supported throughout their training and positioned for long‑term career growth after qualification.
Essential Skills & Responsibilities
- Strong interest in electrical engineering and apprenticeship training
- Commitment to following all site health and safety procedures
- Good technical aptitude and a willingness to learn
- Ability to work within the apprenticeship framework and complete all required modules and assessments
- Attendance at all training components, including college and off‑the‑job phases
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively alongside experienced Engineers, applying newly learned skills
- Willingness to take ownership of assigned projects and tasks
- Consistently meet quality standards and follow best practices in all work performed
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate in a fast‑paced environment
- Clear and confident communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in all interactions
Minimum Requirements
- Grade D or above in five subjects at Junior Certificate level OR completion of a Pre‑Apprenticeship course OR a minimum of three years’ relevant work experience
Additional Considerations
- Ideally, candidates will have relevant work experience, personal projects, or hobbies that demonstrate an interest in engineering or technical fields
- Must meet the assessment criteria set by the external apprenticeship provider (SOLAS)
